CARING FOR ROGUE
WORN HARD. WASHED OFTEN. PASSED DOWN.
Rogue isn't built to be saved for special occasions. It's built for daycare, the park, the spaghetti night, the muddy bits. Worn hard. Washed often. Then handed down to the next kid.
This page is the simple bit. How to wash them. How to keep them looking sharp. How to set them up to land on a little sibling, a cousin, or another mum's kid in one piece.
No fuss. For the parents who forget to take it out of washing machine & have to rewash again.
(Believe me I know cos I am one of those parents)
THE WASH
Throw it in. Don’t overthink it.
Machine wash cold. Follow the instructions for each piece.
Skip the bleach.
I use The Dirt Company products.
The reinforced seams, the Heavyweight fleece none of it needs a delicate cycle. It's built for the everyday wash, not the careful one.
THE DRY
Yes, you can tumble dry (just not the jacket, sorry).
This is the bit most brands won't say out loud. Rogue is built for the dryer. Low heat is best.
Hanging on the line works too. Either way, it'll hold its shape.
THE STAINS
Stain-friendly, not stain-resistant.
We don't pretend Rogue won't stain. Kids find a way. What we will say: most of it comes out.
Best thing to do is treat a stain as it happens but ideally just get a good stain spray I love using The Dirt Company ones. Spray & wash.
For stubborn stains another spray & wash won’t hurt.
THE LONG GAME
A few small things that make Rogue last from one kid to the next:
- Follow the care instructions for the best results.
- Don't dry clean it. Not needed, not made for it.
- Air it out between wears if it's not actually dirty.
Half the time, the trackies just need a night on the chair.
That's it. No special wash bags. Just the basics, done consistently.
PASSING IT DOWN
Rogue is made for passing down.
Before it lands on the next kid:
- Give it a wash. Fresh start.
- Store flat or folded, not on a hanger.
- Cool, dry spot.
- Skip the vacuum seal bags for cotton. The fibres need to breathe.
When the little sibling's grown out of it too, pass it sideways. A cousin. A mate's kid. The mum at daycare who's having her third. The op shop down the road.
The point isn't keeping it forever. The point is it lasts long enough to be worn by more than one kid.
ONE LAST THING
If something doesn't hold up the way we said it would, tell us.
Email with a photo. We'll sort it. That's the deal.
GO ROGUE. WASH IT. WASH IT AGAIN. PASS IT ON.
